Systems Integration

Data Migration /  Data Conversion / Data Integration / Data Quality Assesment / Master Data Management

Integrating data from multiple sources often with custom interfaces together with newly architected systems and technologies can be complex and risky unless you have a clear understanding of the information and processes you are extracting and aggregating.

Insurance Data Migrations background in Insurance and brokers systems includes a detailed understanding of most of the commercial insurance and broker applications on the market and the processes behind the source data.

Examples of our System Integration work are:

  • An integration module which ran daily for a period of 12 months, taking household renewal data from one insurer, transforming and cleansing the data and finally creating clients and policies in the target system. Control reports were created detailing the number of clients/policies migrated along with exception reports for records that didn’t meet the criteria set by the new system.
  • Permanent integration between broker back office systems and personal lines quotation modules. The systems involved were from two different companies. The links created worked both ways. They took quotes once accepted and created clients, policies and risk details and they also sent details back into the quote engines when a mid-term adjustment or renewal was required.
  • Permanent integration between broker back office systems and Microsoft products. These links allowed the users to use the power of Microsoft Word to produce letters and create schedules of insurance. Data Codes were created in MS Word, which meant that on renewal documents were refreshed with the current data at the touch of a button. Links with MS Excel were also created, allowing the user to create Excel documents containing lists of filtered data.
  • Integration between bespoke scheme modules and broker back off systems. This allowed the user to transfer data which had been created by the special scheme software into the back office systems.
